The female condom is the first and only female initiated barrier that is safe and effective if used correctly and consistently. It has high acceptability between both men and women and provides dual protection against sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDs, as well as unintended pregnancy.
The FC2 is made out of a latex-free material, nitrile, for those who have latex sensitivities and allergies. Nitrile polymer is non-allergenic and forms an effective barrier against sexually transmitted infections (STI’s).
